The Regional Development Council (RDC), Region I and the Regional Association of Non-Government Organizations (RANGO), Region I awarded a

Plaque of Recognition to the

Municipality of Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur

through

Mayor Carlos R. Asuncion

adjudged as the SECOND RUNNER-UP in the Search for Best LGU-NGO Project – Based Practices in Region I for CY 2009. This endeavor contributes to the promotion of a strong and sustained partnership and cooperation between the LGU and NGOs in Region I leading to an accelerated socio-economic development of the Ilocos Region (Region I).

Said recognition was given on the 24th day of February 2010 during the RDC Awarding Ceremonies at the Rose Bowl Steakhouse and Restaurant.

The municipality would like to express its gratitude to the Sta. Catalina Timpuyog Organization in Rome, Italy for sponsoring various development programs, projects and activities for their beloved hometown ……Sta. Catalina!!!
